Triple Threat Thursday: Thankful, Thinking, and Thriving

Time To Read

2โ€“3 minutes

Todayโ€™s Triple Threat Thursday is all about taking a deep dive into three key areas that can boost our mindset and drive us forward: Thankful, Thinking, and Thriving. By exploring these together, we get a chance to assess if theyโ€™re aligned or if thereโ€™s room for improvement.

Step 1: List Your Triple Threats

Start with three to five items for each โ€œT.โ€ Think of this as a personal check-in:

  1. Thankful: List the things youโ€™re grateful for, big or small. Gratitude fuels positivity and reminds us of the good in our lives.
    • Example: Supportive friends, recent achievements, and personal growth.
  2. Thinking: Reflect on whatโ€™s been occupying your mind. Are these worries, goals, or ambitions?
    • Example: Planning a big project, figuring out next steps, or tackling challenges at work.
  3. Thriving: Consider what makes you feel fulfilled and energized. What habits or goals make you feel truly alive?
    • Example: Regular exercise, creative hobbies, or learning new skills.

Step 2: Reflect and Compare

Now, letโ€™s see how these lists interact. Are your Thinking items supporting your Thankful and Thriving lists, or do they feel at odds?

  • Identify Complements: Sometimes, your gratitude list and thriving list overlap โ€” maybe youโ€™re thankful for friends who also inspire you to grow. These connections are powerful motivators. Look for these overlaps and think about how to lean into them.
  • Spot Conflicts: Are any of your thoughts taking away from your ability to thrive? For example, if youโ€™re constantly thinking about a stressful project, it may be overshadowing your sense of gratitude or even draining energy from what helps you thrive.

Step 3: Create a Small Action Plan

Use this reflection to guide a small change:

  • Strengthen Whatโ€™s Working: If you find strong alignments, think about how to keep these up. For example, if gratitude for supportive friends and regular exercise make you thrive, prioritize these.
  • Address Conflicts: If thereโ€™s a disconnect, consider one small shift. For example, if a goal is causing stress, break it down into manageable steps so it aligns better with your energy and positivity.

Embracing this Triple Threat approach keeps us mindful of gratitude, growth, and the balance needed to live well. Hereโ€™s to making your Thankful, Thinking, and Thriving lists work together for a powerful Thursday!
