Are You Lying to Yourself?

Time To Read

1โ€“2 minutes

Letโ€™s get real for a second. How often do you say things like:

  • โ€œIโ€™m doing my bestโ€ when you know youโ€™ve been half-assing it?
  • โ€œI donโ€™t have timeโ€ when, really, youโ€™re just not prioritizing what matters?
  • โ€œIโ€™ll start tomorrowโ€ when youโ€™ve been saying that for weeks, months, or even years?

We lie to ourselves all the time because itโ€™s easier than facing the truth. We protect our egos by coming up with excuses, justifying our laziness, or blaming circumstances. But hereโ€™s the thing: you canโ€™t fix what youโ€™re not willing to face.

If you want real change, if you want to grow, youโ€™ve got to strip it all back. Stop letting your ego get in the way. Start asking yourself the hard questions and answering them with brutal honesty. If the answer hurts, good. That means youโ€™re onto something.
